FUT Hair Transplant
Cure your hair loss problem with the best quality hair transplants. One of the two primary methods and the best hair transplant method is FUT. FUT or Follicular Unit Transplant is a surgical process. The procedure involves the extraction of hair follicles from a permanent zone. This procedure is accomplished by using naturally occurring groups of 1 to 4 hairs, known as follicular units. The treatment is also known as the strip procedure. The surgery is considered generally safe. Also, it can create a natural-looking result if done properly by a trained surgeon. At Delhi Medi Clinic, we will help you restore your natural hairline with the latest techniques and modern methods.
During the FUT hair transplant, the surgeon cuts a strip of skin abundant in hair follicles the extraction is done usually from the backside of the neck. The size of the strip depends on the number of hair follicles needed for the transplant. After taking out, the follicles are separated individually. The separated follicles are then implanted back in the recipient area of the scalp.
The surgery takes 4 to 12 hours (generally quicker procedure than FUE surgery). The whole surgery is performed under the effect of local anesthesia. A scar will be left behind, but it will heal. It will take around six months to heal. The size of the scar depends on how many hair follicles were extracted during surgery. It will fade over time but is permanent. And after healing, the scar will be covered by the surrounding hair. But the scar may be visible if you keep your hair short.

Complications after FUT hair transplant procedures are rare. But some potential complications of the hair transplant include unnatural-looking hair, bumps or scarring, inflammation of hair follicles (folliculitis), bleeding, swelling, pain & numbness, cysts, and scarring.
Who can get a FUT procedure?
Men with androgenic alopecia (commonly called male pattern baldness) make the best candidates for FUT. In them, this condition is common & appears in the Norwood pattern or an M-shaped hairline with hair loss at the temples. Women suffering from this condition usually experience the Ludwig pattern. That causes either hair loss along the hair part or thinning at the top of the head. If the hair loss is due to a medical condition like thyroid disorder or alopecia areata, then FUT surgery is not an option for you.
