Eczema, also known as atopic dermatitis, is a common skin condition. It is characterized by itchy and inflamed red patches on the skin. Atopic refers to an allergy. It is seen that people with eczema often have allergies or asthma along with itchy and red skin. The skin usually gets dry and develops a tingling sensation. It is seen often in babies and young children. It is also witnessed in children, teens, and adults.
